Past Projects

Jim and Nancy Wright Scholars - Malawi

Paré Scholar - Haiti

Reading room - Bolivia
The reading room in Bolivia, created in partnership with Amanecer, a local NGO, and under the agency of Dominique Leman, offers a safe, quiet space for young children (mostly girls) from the Madre de Dios shelter – a home for Bolivian street children - to read and learn.

Sadaka-Reut - Israel
The newspaper project in Jaffa, run by Genevieve Nadeau and the NGO Sadaka Reut, taught youth how to create a local newspaper, from the inception stage, to conducting the interviews and writing the stories, doing editing and layout, and managing the distribution.

Thanks to the initiative and generosity of Michele Paré, the Foundation set up a scholarship for a nursing student.

Proyecto Esperanza - The Dominican Republic
Another project spearheaded by Michele Paré, Proyecto Esperanza (“Project Hope”) identified students falling behind because of their lack of reading skills and enrolled them in this after school program run by Fundacion Mahatma Gandhi. Kids received tutoring from the teacher, hired with the support of the Paré Foundation, and many dedicated volunteers. The staff also checked-in with the families to better understand the living conditions of the students and their potential impact on the students’ success in the program.

The Paré Foundation has contributed to local institutions such as The Priory School’s scholarship program and the Montreal Public Library.
